“Free Will Is Not Free”

For the Westworld Season 3 campaign, I was the Sr. Digital Producer tasked with making sure that the complex digital elements to support the overall integrated campaign were delivered and launched on time, on budget and adhered to the high creative standards as set forth by the show.

The Season 3 campaign relied heavily on the tagline “Free Will Is Not Free,” and I collaborated heavily with Bad Robot, Kilter Films, the Westworld showrunners and the internal cross-functional HBO team to create custom, interwoven digital experiences that reflected real-time, in-story changes within the show’s episodic progression.

IMMERSIVE DIGITAL EXPERIENCES

  • Incite, Inc.

    Originally built to promote an in-story data collection and analysis company. Incite included the latest tech (AI, mood enhancers, etc.) the company provided, but as the show itself progressed (and as the founder lost control), so did the site. If you visit now, the site self-destructs and reveals hidden Easter eggs about the Westworld Maze, RICO and an encoded audio note from Dolores.

  • Delos Destinations

    Delos Destinations was built for the consumer to make their own reservations to visit to any of the show’s featured parks. As hosts took over the parks in-show, you could no longer make reservations and the entire system went offline. Our chatbot, “Aeden” also went offline (try deciphering a hidden message) and a new “War World” park was added to tease Season 4.

  • Delos Incorporated

    The corporate site of Delos Incorporated (parent company of Delos Destinations and financier of Westworld) was updated to include various integrations of custom 3D renderings of the robotics featured in the show. The site also received further Easter Egg branding and a refresh of company values to reflect the acquirement of the entity by Incite, Inc.

  • WarWorld

    WarWorld was added as a new park within the Delos Destinations ecosystem to tease the new park being featured in Season 4.

  • Make Money Motherfuckers

    Promotes the RICO app featured in the show. To unlock the site, viewers had to retrieve the password from Incite, Inc.

S3 Premiere

I also virtually produced the S3 red carpet premiere video with Mark Leibowitz and a cross-functional internal team (Social, Content) for the Westworld S3 premiere. Production consisted of creative direction, event logistics, budget and asset management. The premiere fell just before the onset of the pandemic, so I had to make sure the video process was still moving and completed through such an unexpected hurdle.
